Getting the correct exposure (Lecture 2)










A wide Aperture (such as an F 2), results in a shallow depth of field

the point of focus can be anywhere in the picture plane and the depth of field will still be shallow if you choose a large Aperture

A smaller Aperture or higher number F stop will result in a great depth of field
 



notice how a faster shutter speed makes motion appear to stand still

the direction of motion can also change how motion appears in a photograph

artists choose how they use shutter speed to render motion to convey feelings or ideas
